SaniBeam Study's on Efficacy of Reducing Pathogens
At SaniBeam, we pride ourselves on 100% transparency and providing our customers with the best quality products that we can stand behind.
That's why we've partnered with Microchem Laboratory in Texas to demonstrate the effectiveness of our products and just how confident we are in what we are selling.
What we tested:
We sponsored two studies that aimed to test the efficacy of S-MACRO (SaniBeam Black) on Human coronavirus, Strain 229E, ATCC VR-740 and Staphylococcus aureus 6538 (Coronavirus and Staph) the standard testing strain for disinfectants.
Purpose:
Coronavirus
"The purpose of the study was to determine the virucidal efficacy of SaniBeam Portable UV against human coronavirus strain 229E, with no supplementation of organic soil load incorporated into the test inoculum (none requested), at a contact time of 30 seconds at room temperature (24.4–24.5 °C and 39% RH).
The Plate Recovery Control demonstrated a viral titer of 4.75 Log10 TCID50 per 0.1 ml. The evaluated test device, SaniBeam Portable UV, demonstrated a 2.25 Log10 reduction in viral titer (99.44%) as compared to the titer of the corresponding Plate Recovery Control."
Staphylococcus
"Criteria for Scientific Defensibility of a Custom Device Study
For Microchem Laboratory to consider a Device Study study to be scientifically defensible, the following criteria must be met:
1. The initial and final concentration of microorganisms must be significantly high enough to observe the passing criteria/log reduction.
2. The media used for testing must be sterile.
3. The target microorganism must be pure colony morphology."
Results:
S-MACRO showed reduction in both pathogens by 99% in 30 seconds.
